Botox to ease pain
Lipodissolve Warnings
According to experts, men are becoming more self conscious and this has led to a huge increase in demand for male breast reduction operations in the past year. According to BMI Healthcare, the largest private hospital group in the UK, there has been a surge in men looking to have liposuction and breast reduction surgery to get rid of their ‘moobs’ (man boobs). It’s not just the men either – in the past 6 months they have seen a 43% increase in women wanting breast reduction surgery.
Earlier in the year, BAAPS released figures showing that 177 men had liposuction to reduce their breast size in 2006 – that’s an 800% increase in just three years.
Traditionally, women have been the image conscious ones however men are becoming ever more body-conscious and cosmetic surgery is now losing it’s stigma and becoming more socially acceptable and popular. Men are coming under increased pressure to have that perfect, toned physique therefore many are turning to the perceived easier option of cosmetic surgery. And as prices come down, cosmetic surgery is no longer the domain of the rich and famous – it is now accessible to the majority of people, and these factors combined are continuing to drive unprecedented growth within the industry.
