Michael Jackson To Have More Cosmetic Surgery?
Fish Reflexology Banned in the US
New advances have been made in breast enlargements which allows stem cells taken from a patient’s stomach or thigh to grow new breast tissue and create a natural breast implant. At present, the patient can only go up by one cup size however as the surgery develops, it is expected that bigger augmentations will be possible in the future.
About a dozen British women have already had their breasts repaired using the stem cell technology after they have had cancerous cells removed. Professor Kefah Mokbel, a consultant breast surgeon at the London Breast Institute is now planning to test the procedure on 30 healthy volunteers to evaluate the procedure.
Surgeons are excited about the prospect of this cosmetic surgery as it is believed that the stem cell technique will produce a more natural look than a breast implant using silicone implants. The breast tissue itself will also feel more natural. There are also the health implications there are some questions over many implants as they are associated with long-term complications and may need replacing over time; there is also a chance the implants might leak and also cause scarring.
The downside of the stem cell technique is that it can only produce volume and not lift or firmness hence why patients are currently only being offered a one cup size increase.
The technique itself involves removing fat from the stomach and/or thigh and extracting the stem cells in it. These stem cells are then mixed with other fat and injected into the breast. The breast then starts to increase in size over the next few months.
In the past, plain fat has been injected into the breasts to try and increase their size however it was found that it was difficult to maintain a good blood supply to the fat. By using stem cells, new blood vessels are encouraged to grow, thus this problem is overcome.

Hi,
I would be very interested in volunteering for these trials.
Failing this…Where do I apply to have this proceedure?
I have been looking into this surgery for months now as I do not wish to get implants due to having a three year old son. I have lost my confidence since I have stopped breast feeding and my breasts have gone small and flat. I am also wondering if they are still looking for volunteers as I am more than interested in this procedure. I also feel that as I am of a small size it would work out well for the trials.
i lost three stone recently my breasts wernt perky but they had nice volume to them now there gone i would love to take part in thes trial im sure it would give me some volume back

I would also like to take part in a trail for breast enlargement using stem cells. My breasts are small and flat. I have been looking into breast enlargement for a long time but I don’t like the idea of silicone or saline implants, this sounds perfect.
My chest was never very big and now after 3 kids and knocking on 49 years old, I am so small and really fed up with my clothes looking shapeless on me. I end up giving my trendy tops to my better-endowed daughter. A push-up, ‘filled’ bra is all very well, but the effect is lost at the beach or in the bedroom.
My sister had implants 11 years ago, but I am afraid. This new idea to grow them from our own tissue, is the sensible solution and I am all for it. Volunteer or otherwise.
where do i apply for these trials???
Charis your breasts are fine.
The medical community has a more thorough understanding of the long term history of Saline breast implants. Silicone implants were recently released from a 13 year ban due to concern of long term safety issues. These concerns have mostly been alleviated with modern silicone implants, however.
