Shoulder liposuction for that ‘Keira Knightley look’
There are many who are not sold on the benefits of Botox, claiming that the toxin produces a face which looks unnatural thanks to the freezing of muscles. For those who are looking to maintain or obtain a more youthful looking face but are loathe to try Botox injections, Sculptra may be a good alternative.
Sculptra is said to be a long-lasting treatment that helps to smooth out wrinkles and restore facial volume lost in the natural ageing process. Made from crystallised poly-L-lactic acid with salt water, the solution is injected deep into the tissue on the face. The mixture is said to stimulate production of collagen which helps to smooth out winkles and plump up the face. The injections are also said to last anything up to three years.
The procedure itself is no dissimilar to having Botox injections. The skin will be cleaned and a local anaesthetic applied. A needle containing the solution will be used on key points within the face. The face is then massaged to help the absorption of the solution. The entire procedure normally takes around 15 minutes to complete.
One of the key points which attracts people to Sculptra over Botox are it’s gradual and natural results. During the first 24 hours, the skin make be slightly swollen and slightly plumper. After this period of time, the ageing process slowly looks like it is reversing, although slowly and subtly with wrinkles gradually filling out, until the full effect is achieved after a couple of months.
