Botox in new scare
Lasers may not be best option for mole removal
Women who live in Arizona who are thinking of undergoing breast augmentation surgery to correct the shape of their bust had a piece of good news earlier in the month Arizona state senators have unanimously agreed to give a tax break to all women looking at increasing the size of their breasts. Up until this point, breast enlargement surgery was subject to a 5.6% sales tax.
The Department of Revenue has said that sales tax on prosthetic devices prescribed or recommended by a health professional will not be subject to sales tax. This means that anyone looking to have reconstructive surgery on their breasts, or to repair congenitally unformed breasts will not need to pay tax. The bad news is that breast implants for purely cosmetic reasons will still be subject to tax. Overall, it is estimated that if this does come into force, the state revenues will be reduced by around $300,000 – $400,000 a year.
