Botox Goes Plastic
A Chinese woman has held a nurse hostage because she wasn’t satisfied with the results of her rhinoplasty (nose job).
Dai Shaorong, Chinese woman married to a wealthy businessman, was persuaded by a nurse to have a nose job in February this year for around 2,000 yuan (approximately $300). Unfortunately the cosmetic surgery didn’t go how Dai would have liked and she claimed that her nose remained swollen and disfigured for months after her plastic surgery.
Dai is reported to have visited the hospital who performed the cosmetic surgery several times demanding compensation however her claims were rejected each time.
The final time that she visited the hospital, she requested to see the nurse who initially persuaded her to go ahead with cosmetic surgery. The nurse wasn’t on duty so another nurse went to meet her. Dai then dropped a barrette on the three square metre windowsill and asked the nurse to pick it up for her. Drawing a knife and holding it to the nurse’s throat, Dai then ordered the nurse to stay where she was.
After a brief stand-off and failed negotiation tactics, the situation was eventually defused when firefighters managed to catch Dai’s hand and free the unfortunate nurse.
