Most beauty pageant contestants would not consider having cosmetic surgery however a new beauty pageant in Hungary aims to change that view by holding a contest which is only for women who have had some form of cosmetic surgery.
The Miss Plastic Hungary 2009 beauty pageant will be held on October 9th and is open to any woman with a Hungarian residence, regardless of nationality, who is aged between 18 and 30 and who has undergone some form of cosmetic surgery.
Beauty pageant officials have said that the Miss Plastic Hungary contest will show that cosmetic surgery doesn’t have to look fake plastic surgery can be a viable way for women to look naturally beautiful. It is said that over 100 women have already signed up to take part in the pageant.
The winner will receive a new apartment; the runner up will receive a new car, and the second runner up will win a holiday for two in Kenya.
Hungary is a popular country for medical tourists as the prices there are often cheaper than in other European countries, for example a facelift in Hungary costs roughly half what a UK cosmetic surgery firm would expect to charge.
