Can cosmetic surgery help you to a payrise?
Brits still keen on cosmetic surgery
Douglas McGeorge, the president of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons, has said that men will normally have a longer recovery time than women when it comes to cosmetic surgery.
“There are some operations where men end up paying a ‘higher price'”, he explained. “And by that I mean that the recovery period is longer for me. Their scars are more visible for longer because we, as men, don’t use make-up to disguise the scars.”
In reality, his comments show that it isn’t really true that men heal slower than women it’s a perception because most men won’t use ‘tricks’ such as make-up to hide the tell-tale signs of cosmetic surgery.
Mr. McGeorge also recommends that men should be counselled before going under the knife so that they understand how they will look, scars and all, after the surgery,
“If it does bother then, then they are not candidates for surgery,” he continued. “However most people, at the end of the day if properly counselled will accept the limitations that being a man presents and will carry on and have their operation.”
