Cosmetic Surgery Techniques Help in Thyroid Surgery
Clothing mail order company Grattan have recently started selling customers a range of non-surgical products such as Botox, lip enhancement and skin peels from the Transform Cosmetic Surgery via their catalogue, prompting concerns from many plastic surgeons.
The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons has warned that buying via mail order undermines the seriousness of the procedures. Transform have hit back saying that customers received a consultation and were fully informed before undergoing any procedure.
BAAPS president Douglas McGeorge explained, “I am surprised that any cosmetic surgery company claiming to provide quality of care would choose to market through a clothing catalogue. It is essential the public understand that aesthetic procedures, even if they are non-surgical, are not commodities to buy off-the-shelf and cannot later be exchanged for a different style or size.
“Side effects from injectables may be rare but they do happen, and the latest warnings from manufacturers serve to highlight the need for proper consultation and thorough informed consent by the patient.”
Customers will be able to browse the Grattan catalogue, buying a procedure before heading to a Transform clinic to have the actual treatment. Customers are given the option to pay in full, or pay in monthly installments.

What? This would not be legal in the US. I can’t see how it would be legal in the UK.
