Eddie ‘the Eagle’ Edwards has had cosmetic surgery to reduce is protruding jaw. Eddie ‘the Eagle’ is one of the UK’s most loved sporting failures and is well-known for his large protruding jaw.

Eddie represented Great Britain in the ski-jumping competition in Calgary in 1988, famously finishing last. At the time, he attracted much ridicule thanks to his large jaw and his goggle-like glasses however the cosmetic surgery has allowed him to change his look drastically.

The 45 year old has had jaw cosmetic surgery to help reduce his underbite and has also had eye surgery so that he no longer requires spectacles.

Despite his looks and his sporting failure, Brits loved him and he admitted that after coming last in the ski jump competition, he attracted 24 wedding proposals from fans. Realising that ski jumping was not his forte, Eddie now works as a plasterer and is happily married with two children.
