Has Your Cosmetic Surgery Abroad Gone Wrong?
Easter Island Soil Yields Anti-Ageing Compound
Ex-footballer Colin Hendry’s wife has died after an operation to fix botched cosmetic surgery.
Denise Hendry had liposuction nearly seven years ago at a private hospital in Preston. The cosmetic surgery punctured her bowel and colon nine times and as a result she suffered from blood poisoning and multiple organ failure.
Hendry had opted for liposuction as she had wanted to regain her figure after the birth of her children. However two days after the cosmetic surgery, she fell ill with septicaemia. She also suffered from a cardiac arrest as a result of complications arising from the surgery.
In May of this year, Hendry had undergone a 16 hour operation to help fix some of the remaining issues and was the latest in a series of operations that she had had to endure over the past few years. Unfortunately, she only opened her eyes once after the corrective surgery and had remained in a coma ever since. The decision to switch her life-support machine off was made this morning.

why dont people just accept themselves and others as they are and enjoy the life they have been given without wasting precious lives by undergoing risky operations that take your life away.
I am so very sorry to hear of the tragic death of Denise Hendry. My deepest sympathy goes to her husband, children and family. I am so sorry for you all and hope that you disregard negative comments from people. Denise did what she wanted to do to make herself feel better, she never could have imagined the consequences.
I am so sad for you all
My thoughts and prayers to you all
i am so very sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to her family.
Any death is a tragedy and more so when it involves someone so young. My condolences to her husband and family. What has not been reported is that Denise was undergoing the latest in a series of corrective surgery within the NHS and contracted a Meningococcal infection. It is yet to be established if this was contracted within the general area of the NHS Hospital or if it was a SSI (Surgical site infection)i.e the Operating theatre itself. I hope her husband finds the truth.
My wife underwent a liposuction which resulted in puncturing her colon in 2 locations. Next day after feeling sever pain she returned to the private hospital that did the operation. They put her in an ambulance and sent her to Government hospital were she operated to save her life. This included cleaning the leaked area, removing the damaged part and stitching it back. After this operation she had breahting problem. The had to cut the abdomen by nearly more 8″ vertically. After 10 to 15 days. A CT Scan was taken which showed the colon was still leaking at the point where it was stitched. The same Dr who did operation wanted to repeat the operation but I decided to do the second operation in Bangkok in Bumrungrad Hospital. We were there for a month but they did not operate her instead she was given antibiotic and continued to cleaning the bowel through the drain tube which was there from Bahrain our home. After over 30 days she was released to go home saying the colon may heal by itself and if not after 3 months to come back for an operation! By that time we had already paid USD 30,000.And to do the operation to fix the leaking colon we now have to additionally pay USD 20,000. We are disappointed and feel ripped off. We are angry, confused and don’t know what to do please advise, help what do you think we should do!!!
