How To Reduce Scarring From Cosmetic Surgery
A Cure for Snoring?
UK cosmetic surgery fans are trying so hard to save money on their operations that many are prepared to put their lives at risk.
Recent research has seen an increase in the number of Britons who are opting for “cosmetic surgery saver packages” where up to four cosmetic surgery procedures are done at the same time. By having several different operations at the same time, the patients can save themselves up to £6,000 a lot of money, particularly given the current recession in the country.
The problem with having four operations in one is that there is a higher risk of post-op complications and infections and there is a much higher risk of these complications being fatal. Reputable cosmetic surgeons will refuse to do more than four cosmetic procedures under the same operation to ensure that the longest time a patient remains under anaesthetic is six hours any longer than this increases the risk of complications.
Despite these added risks, there has been a 21 percent increase in the number of Brits having a “multi-operation” in the last year alone and this trend is expected to continue in the near future.
The most popular combined cosmetic surgeries are the tummy tuck combined with some form of liposuction. Breast implants with liposuction is the second most popular package.
